Outing to Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Last day of school
No teachers fuss
Fun on the bus
Fish and chips to eat at lunchtime
Ice cream Keylime
Sunburn Sunshine
Northern coastline
Children riding on the big one
All fears are gone
End of school year
Sharing good cheer.

The challenge at d’Verse tonight was to produce something called a minute…it had various rules…this is a light-hearted effort to attempt to meet them…incidentally today was the school trip to BLACKPOOL Pleasure beach, another northern gem…an amusement park if you are not familiar with Blackpool.

That looks like a good place to go to celebrate the end of the school year. The fish and chips, ice cream and riding the big one make memories. Nice minute poem, Alison!

Blackpool on a school trip! What larks! I remember Blackpool and the lights. It’s a place everyone should go to once in their lives—bugger Disneyland 🙂

It’s many years since I was in Blackpool. Looks (and sounds) like not much has changed. The minute form lends itself to this jaunty little number. Kiss me quick!

So much joy–wish we all could learn to be excited like children again. I try but succumb to worry too much. Adult stupidity.

Field trips were my favorite subject in school; later I went on them as adult host. Your poem made me pine for Blackpool, though I’ve never been there–bugger Disneyland(s) indeed.
