Service announcement….in the half term break…

“Service announcement- Warehouse colleagues to the warehouse please.”

All the jobs I could have done

This one sounds like so much fun

Making announcements in a store

Calling to workers on the shop floor.

Instead I write reports and mark

Plan my lessons until it is dark

My life is ruled by lessons and bells

Punctuated by rogues and ne-er do wells.

I wouldn’t want to be a zoo-keeper

A nurse, doctor or cabinet maker

I often dream of what might be

Acting in Coronation Street might suit me.

Instead I create my schemes of work

Make presentations that sometimes work

I smile with joy when students succeed

In our tough teens I still believe.

JUST FOR FUN. XX

Back to school blues….

Early morning indigestion

Motorway congestion

Students fully of germs and bugs

Too much work and brain fug

Brow burns

Streaming snot

Sore throat

Head hot

Wake up feeling dreadful

First cold of the season

Grateful it is weekend

And I don’t have to pretend or reason

With unruly students, pesky pests,

Procrastinators, sharp-cornered desks

Eager beavers and teacher pleasers.

Sat in bed instead with TV and Maltesers.

Pass the tissues, please. XXX

Fire burns at back of throat

I’ve got the lot

School’s out…. for teachers…

Marking’s done

Summer’s come

Last bell rings, go home.

Bag’s away,

Wine glass full

Reading book, nit comb.

Relaxing bath

Free at last

Take-away, it’s time to play.

Regards to all my fellow school teachers out there….XXXXX

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Outing to Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Last day of school

No teachers fuss

Fun on the bus

Fish and chips to eat at lunchtime

Ice cream Keylime

Sunburn Sunshine

Northern coastline

Children riding on the big one

All fears are gone

End of school year

Sharing good cheer.

The challenge at d’Verse tonight was to produce something called a minute…it had various rules…this is a light-hearted effort to attempt to meet them…incidentally today was the school trip to BLACKPOOL Pleasure beach, another northern gem…an amusement park if you are not familiar with Blackpool.
